Re-authenticating
Sometimes you may need to re-establish the connection between Kleer and HubSpot.
When to Re-authenticate
You may need to reconnect if:
- The settings page shows a disconnected status
- Syncs are failing with authentication errors
- You've changed your Kleer API key
- You've changed HubSpot portal permissions
Updating Your Kleer API Key
- Generate a new API key in your Kleer account settings
- Open the Kleer for HubSpot settings page in HubSpot
- Update the API key in the credentials section
- Save — the connection status should update immediately
Reconnecting HubSpot
If the HubSpot OAuth connection has expired or broken:
- Go to Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps in HubSpot
- Find Kleer for HubSpot
- Disconnect and reinstall the app to re-authorize
After Re-authenticating
The integration resumes syncing on its normal schedule automatically. No data is lost during the disconnection — the next sync picks up any changes that occurred while the connection was down.
Preventing Issues
- Don't revoke API keys that are in active use — generate a new one first, update the integration, then revoke the old one
- Ensure the HubSpot user who authorized the integration retains the necessary permissions
